((Argh!!! Sorry, my computer crashed!))
Keril hung at the back of the hunters group. He glanced at the dead man, wrinkling his nose. Other than that, he felt no remorse. If the man was stupid enough to get himself killed, why should he care? The smell didn't even bother Kanil. He had seen, and smelt, enough of Sy's victims. He looked at the rest of the hunters, swearing to avenge their comrade and blundering of into the forest. Keril's lip curled. The fools. They would either be killed or drive Sy away long before they could catch him, making that sort of racket. What had possesed him to group up with these imbeciles in the first place?
Keril backed into the shadow of the trees, watching the rest of the group move on. They wouldn't notice him gone. He turned and walked in the opposite direction to the rest. Alone, he could be much stealthier.
Keril wore a dark brown tunic over light brown breeches and a tan shirt. A wide-brimmed hat cast shadows over his face. A good thing, too, because Keril was no looker. He had been in the hunting business a long time, and had gotten into quite a few close scrapes. As it was he had lost an eye, a chunk of his ear, and had multiple scars over every exposed piece of skin. Probably had a few under his clothes, too. He had thin lips, almost to the point of invisibility, and blackened or yellow teeth. His remaining eye was dust-brown, and his hair was black, streaked with silver. He had a spear, hidden throwing daggers, and multiple virulent potions on his person.
Hopefully after he got the reward for Sy, he could retire and live in style. That, or, if Sy had a better offer, he might side with that man. Power was always something he could use.

Elizabeth looked over at Roran. The way he looked and felt terrified her. She knew they couldn't let Sy get the stone but basically there was no other choice. "Just drop the stone!" she told him. "He's obviously going to find it, we might as well be as far away from it as possible. We need to hide." she said as she looked around. She had no idea where she was and where would be the best place to hide.

''They seem to know the stone holds power but are afraid of it.'' Alexandrya thought to herself. She also wondered who Sy was. Was that the man with the destructive power of fire behind him. The man who destroyed the village. He seemed to be some one to fear obviously. She felt sorry for the man, who was holding the stone. He looked pretty bent out of shape of the whole thing. She wished to help but her healing and medical treatments were for physically use only. She could tell it was more of a stress that was bothering him.

"No!" roared Roran, "If we leave the stone behind....his power will reach us. No matter what we do." He looked down the path, "We're not to far from the city. Just a bit farther." Roran started down the path.
The city ahead had walls. Protection from Sy was what they needed. Roran knew that they had to get there quickly. He grasped the stone in his hand. "Just let us make it there safely. That's all I ask." Roran spoke to the stone.
"I curse the day!" spoke Sy. He needed the cloak of darkness. Sy ran down the broken path. Sweat dripped from his brow, fresh blood on his face. Subtle approach of trying to get to the stone didn't work. Guards along the trade route attacked him along his way. "Nothing shall stand in my way. I'm coming!" he cried. The stone echoed with each beat of his heart.

'Been spying on them this long what is the hurt watching them a bit longer.' Alexandrya told herself. It wasn't like she had any where else to go. She was traveling to see anything and everything and this certainly was something. She wondered who Sy was still. Getting more information at least able to do that much. Now knowing where they were headed she could hang back some so they didn't spot her. She didn't want to make the wrong first impression if she should happen to talk to them soon. It was odd for such a moral person she found there nothing wrong in following people to find out all she wanted to know.

Over the city of Hongard flew a flag. On top of the highest tower of the majestic Palace of the Waves, it flew. A white lion outlined in silver on a field of dark blue. The White Lion of Froncadia. Hongard was the last city where such a flag flew.
Before the Palace of the Waves stretched the huge Mindrelle's Square. It was at least five-hundred yards across and located at the center of the city of Hongard. At its center was the large, marble statue of the angel Mindrelle. Serene and beautiful, her marble eyes stared forever south, watching over the great expanse of the Onyx Ocean.
Normally, Mindrelle's Square was filled with traders and venders from lands all over the known world. It was a lively place of celebrations and trade and travelling.
The buildings of Hongard were largely built from wood, except the half-round tiles that covered their curved roofs. Hongard was a major port city, one of the most important centers of trade in the nation of Froncadia. The city was built right against the Onyx Ocean, with three sides surrounded by walls and the ocean itself on the southern side.

Elizabeth shook her head. She hated how stubborn Roran could be. "Do you not remember what happened to our villlage?" she asked. "Sy basically tore it apart! How do you expect us to be safe wherever we go? Plus he knows where we are going!" she exclaimed. She just wanted Roran to get rid of the stone and then they could go hide somewhere.

"I know what happened to our village!" he clintched his fist and closed his eyes, "But....but Hongard has walls....gaurds to protect us." Roran turned towards the path that laid ahead of them. "That should of been the place where the stone should of be kept safe..." There was a sour tone in his voice. Regret was all that he felt. Why hadn't they taken it there. Would it of even mattered? "Come on." Said Roran, "We can be safe behind the stone walls of the city." Though the stone had weakened him, he knew that he had to go on. With heavy boots, Roran made his way down the beaten traders route.

Alexandrya listened to them she shook her head when she heard that was their town. She had to find if that man was who had done it. Meaning she had to find out what he looked like. She started to come out to where they were to come into view. Hoping they wouldn't be in the mood to attack, but most people generally held no fear for elfs though. ((Decided mabey it was time for my character to actually interact and stop hiding in the shadwos lol.))

As Elizabeth followed Roran she heard a sound ahead. She looked toward Roran but he obviously didn't seem to notice. Then a figure moved into view. It was still too far to see exactly who or what it was but it made Elizabeth give a small little squeal. She quickly moved behind Roran. "Do you you see that? Is it Sy?" she asked quickly and nervously.

((I'm take that as my cue.))
At the sound of a squeal, Kirel whipped around, his spear at the ready. He lowered the tip slightly as he saw that it wasn't Sy, but still held it tightly. It was a girl and a man. He wondered if they were hunters, too. He narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Who are you? I didn't think that women would be up for hunting the demon. Shouldn't you be darning lace at home, or something?" he asked Elizabeth, "Or are you eloping? This forest is dangerous."
The man had a strange pendant, it seemed to glow. But this weakling couldn't possibly be the one that guarded the stone, so he dismissed the idea as soon as it entered his head. It was probably just a trick of the light.

Alexandrya, who had been walking their way, stopped when she heard her squeal, and another voice came into the picture. From where she was she couldn't see him just yet. She could hear the mans voice and that was it. She couldn't help but automatically not like him as he told the girl she should be darning lace. That comment angered her and she was frustrated before even getting a site of him. Well this was an uneasy moment, now did she retreat back to the forest while they talked to him, or did she come out more so they could see she was a simple elf, and posed them no threat.

Roran didn't like the spear pointing at him or Elizabeth. Threated again by another with a weapon. He kept his grip on his hilt, unsure if the newcomer would try to strike. "I am Roran and this is Elizabeth. We know nothing of this 'hunt' of yours. We are simply trying to get to Hongard. That is all." Roran stepped forward, "Don't talk to her in that manner again! I have been through much already this day. Anymore and I can't be responsible for my actions." He pulled on his hilt, revealing the iron hidden behind the sheath.

Kirel grinned. "Peace, young man. I sometimes forget my manners." He replaced his spear in it's straps on his back. "The hunt has been long, and I'm getting a mite testy. I did not mean anything by my previous words. You may want to rein in your temper a bit, though, before it gets you in trouble." He shrugged. "If you aren't in my way, I have no need to be in yours. Good luck on reaching Hongard."

Roran released his grip on his sword, "Thank you." he replied. Puzzled by the appearance of this hunter, he couldn't help but ask, "What did you mean by 'hunting the demon' ? There isn't a demon here besides that vile man known as Sy. He destroyed our village." Roran looked to Elizabeth and placed his hand on her shoulder, "We are all that remains of his massacre."
