Alexandrya spent much of her time looking through the town. Most everyone was dead. She couldn't believe this. She couldn't stand to be here any longer it was putrid and the more people she came across that were dead the sicker she felt and the worse it was. She had wanted to find anyone to possibly help. To make sure there was no one she could help but all she found were a few smoldering items and allot of death. Who could do this to a whole village, to family's, children everything. She started to make her way out of the ruined village. Seeing as it wasn't hard to find your way around with burnt, and half burnt buildings there wasn't a whole lot obstructing your view of anything.

Elizabeth was a little nervous about being left alone. "Just hurry" she told him as he went off in search of food. Elizabeth sat down against a tree and closed her eyes. She soon opened them to the sound of something. She was absoluetely terrified. She was unsure of what she heard and Roran wasn't here to protect her.
She quickly stood up and looked around. She soon realized that what she heard was the sound of running water. She quickly made her way towards it. As soon as she came upon the little stream she took a huge drink. She then pulled up the bottom of her dress up past her knees and put her legs in to clean them and also to refresh them.

Roran searched through the foliage for any berries or animals. He wasn't having the best of luck in the world. As he walked over fallen a fallen tree Roran slipped and fell to the ground. "Blast!" he cried. He tried getting up but only fell again. When he looked back he discovered that his foot was in a small hole. "Damn rabbits." he said. Then he realized, "Rabbits!" Roran pulled his foot from the hole sending dirt everywhere. Submerging his hand into the dank confines he pulled out a small rabbit. "Yes." He killed the rabbit and plunged his arm to get another one.
Once finished, Roran took his meal back to where he had left. "Elizabeth, I got some rabbits like father used to cook." He said as he came into the clearing. "Elizabeth." he was alone. Roran threw the rabbits down, "Elizabeth!" He cried. She was nowhere to be found. Fear seemed to wrap itself around Roran's body. "What if something happened to her?" he thought, "Did Sy get her?" Roran looked down the deserted road, "Elizabeth!" He yelled out.

Alexandrya quickly made her way out of the town, and started walking still many questions on her mind but one thing was for certain. That man was not someone she wanted to just simply ask anything of. So she would head on the path opposite the way she had come. Still trying to think of anything she had read or heard about that may hold power... in a stone.

Elizabeth loved the way the water washed against her legs, it was both calming and refreshing. Then the thought of Roran not knowing where she was popped into her mind. 'He'll find me' she thought to herself as she heard a faint yell coming from the direction of the clearing. It sounded a lot like her name. Then she realized that it was Roran calling her name. She gave a little laugh then yelled "I'm over here!" as loud as she could. She knew Roran wouldn't think it was funny but it definetly was to her.

Roran heard Elizabeth's call. He calmed down and ran toward her voice. He found her sitting by a small stream enjoying the cool water flowing calmly by. "You know you shouldn't do that to me." He glanced at her, "You had me worried sick for a moment."
Sy continued his path through the forest. He had ran into an unfortunate hunter seeking him. "They never learn." He said throwing the burning corpse to the ground. The rancid smell would cause any man to be sick. But it didn't seem to effect him. With a quick flick of the wrist he drove the hunter's sword deep into the owners body. "That should stop them for a while."
He continued his way until he stumbled onto a broken path. Sy narrowed his eyes and checked his surroundings. Smoke hung high in the cloudless sky. "A camp or a village ahead." he said softly
Pulling the necklace from his neck Roran examined it. Such a well designed piece of jade stone. Small intricate symbols were craved into it. Roran probed his mind to make sense of what they said. Two word could be decifered, Tyela neuma (magic untrap). "Tyela neuma?" Roran looked at Elizabeth, "Why would they put that on the stone?"
Sy clenched his chest. It felt weighed down by an invisible hand, "What is this?" Sweat dripped from his brow as he tried to regain his composer.
The stone grew hot to the touch. Roran yelped and dropped it into the water. Steam emitted from around the stone. "What's going on?" A sudden surge of energy shot from the water. Emitting a myriad of colors as it pierced through the thick forest canvas.
It ripped through the clouds for all to see. The villagers of the city that they were heading for gasped in awe as they saw the dazzling light. Sy looked at the path he hand taken. His eyes opened wide as he saw the stone's power shoot toward the heavens.

Alexandrya had just been continuing on the path towards the next village. That was until she saw something not far ahead. "What was that?" She asked herself in a breathe. This was far from something someone saw every day. This was crazy. She headed that way of course her natural curiosity, as would anyone else would be, got the best of her. Just like anyone, who had seen the sky above that area, she wanted to see what made such wonderful and bright light in the sky. Who would hold the ability to do such things? So she had a quick pace towards where the light seemed to be coming from.

As soon as Elizabeth saw it fall into the waters she stood up and moved away from the water. She wanted to let out a scream but her body wasn't allowing her to. She quickly moved back next to Roran and grabbed his arm and held on for dear life. She didn't know whether to grab it or to let it stay there. She quickly turned to Roran for answers.

Roran fumbled his words. Elizabeth's grip got him to his feet. His was buzzing as he tried to remember words of the past, "Neuma en' templa!" He cried out. Roran hoped that those words were correct. The light seemed to fade back into the stone. Roran collapsed to the ground. His heart seemed to try to escape from his chest.

Elizabeth turned and looked down at Roran with questioning eyes. "What was that?" she exclaimed "and how did you know what words to say?" she asked as more questions filled her head. Then she walked over closer to the stone to finally get a better look. Then a terrifying thought came to her head. What if Sy had seen? He would know that they have it. She turned back towards Roran. She wanted to speak but no words came to her.

Alexandrya continued to move at a fast pace, and cursed silently as she noticed that the lights were gone. Now she would have to depend on her sight and hearing to find whoever the source was of this power. She wondered why it had even appeared in the first place, and why now it was gone. What had been the point of it. Since she was assuming that it was on purpose she didn't think such a power would be uncovered on sheer accident.

Words wouldn't come. Roran just shook his head and reached into the stream to grab the necklace. It shined with a brillant light. What had he awoken within the confines of the stone. He could feel the power pulse through his hand. "It's sealed by words of the ancients." He managed to say.
Placing it around his neck; Roran gazed at Elizabeth. His pupils were dialated, his eyes seemed shallowed out like a dead man's. "I've awaken the power within the stone." He sputtered. The necklace felt heavy around his neck. It was calling out.
"I know." said Sy, "I'm coming soon." He smiled and placed his hand on his sword. The pulses were reaching him; it vibrated within his very being. Without hesistation he started down the broken path towards his goal.

She could hear someone. Finally there were voices she could tell someone was near by. She also could hear water running. Once she got close enough for her eyes to make out two figures she stopped. Not ready to make her presence known until she had a better idea of what was going on. Alexandrya watched intently. The first and last words she heard when she got there was. 'I've awaken the power within the stone." A man had said this. The powers of the stone. Was he talking about the brilliant light that had filled the sky itself. Was this the power, the stone she had heard the man who could create fire talking about. She couldn't help but wonder about it. She wanted to warn them that the man was near. On the other hand though she didn't know if they were good ither. She actually didn't know much of anything. That was why for her at the moment it was smarter to stay unseen and not get involved until she knew more of what was going on. So she did just that Alexandrya stood in the trees her keen eyes on the two figures by the water, her ears waiting to hear whatever else may be said.

Elizabeth could tell that Roran wasn't feeling well. She leaned down next to him. "Roran, do you need me to get you a drink?" she asked softly. She didn't know what to do. She was absolutely teriffied. She needed Roran to be healthy. There was no doubt in her mind that Sy had seen that light.
She then heard some wrustling in the bushes. She quickly looked around. She saw nothing but had a dark feeling that they were being watched. She looked back down worridly towards Roran. "We need to get moving."

Roran forced himself to his feet. The sudden rush made him feel dizzy. He stumbled slightly and braced himself against a tree. "I'm just fine." he muttered under his breath. Who was he kidding? Roran felt like he fought a battle. "Let's just go."
Roran got back onto the path and grabbed his necklace. "Make it stop! Make this feeling go away." The pulses increased against his will. It fought back against him. "Elizabeth, he's coming after the stone! It beckons him."
Hunters found the body of their slain ally. They hung their heads low but weren't discouraged. "We continue men. We shall avenge our fallen ally and save the world from the Drack like our ancestors!" They rallied at the cry and moved on.
