Happiness ran through Edward's body when Shara told him that she loved him too. He hadn't really been able to love another person. Looking upon Shara his smile grew bigger. Feeling a little more relaxed he watched she kicked off her boots and then quickly got up. Pulling from her coat a small vail Ed looked at her a bit confused. Before he could ask what it was Shara bolted from the room.
Edward let out a small sigh and laughed. Throwing his body down on his bed he let his thoughts drift back to the kiss. His face began to turn red again. "Hey lover boy." came a voice from his doorway. Ed looked up to find Mustang in the door making kissy faces, "Gah!" yelled a red faced Ed. Grabbing his pillow he threw at Mustang knocking him to the ground, "Get out here!" The door slammed shut; he relaxed again, "Now everyone's gonna know..."

It took a bit before there can a tentitive knock on his door and Shara slid in. She was in more comfurtable clothes, a black teeshirt, kaki cargo pants and flip-flops. She had her kitten in her arms and let it go once she closed the door with her foot. She flipped off the light so that it was pitch dark and then there was a soft spark of alchemy and something hanging around Shara's neck began to glow brightly. She walked over to Ed and then sat down beside him and put her hands around his and let the breif spark of alchemy go before letting go of him, the little vile glowed brightly in his hand.
"And that Edward is one of my newer tricks. Change the silver into a flamable substance and it lights up in the dark, cool huh?" She said laying down beside him on the bed. She snuggled up to him and laid her head on his arm. "Don't let them bother you Ed" she whispered into his ear "Mustang's just jealous 'cuse he can't get Hawkeye to go out with him..." She said softly. "But whatever happens, you have me and and Al and don't forget that..." She said, gave him a kiss on the cheek and fell asleep next to him, tired still.

As the lights went off Ed saw a flicker of light come from Shara direction. With a small flash light emitted from around her neck. Before he could ask she wrapped her hands around the small vial and it began to glow. He smirked. Shara's trick though simple, was rather impressive. "Nice trick." there was a hint of admiration in his voice. Suddenly Shara snuggled up to him. Instantly his body tensed up in reaction.
She spoke softly to him. The words soothed his mind and body. Slowly Edward began to relax. "I'm glad I do have you." He felt the kiss and smiled at her again. The Elder Elric had found someone he could love, something he didn't think would happen. He wrapped an arm around her and held her close to his body. Kissing her softly on the forehead he whispered to her, "I love you, Shara." With that he layed her down and covered her up.
Edward looked upon Shara, "I..I never really relized how beautiful she looked until now." Maybe it was just him; no, things had changed the instant he said those three big words. Words that could change the world if they actually had a meaning behind them. It was funny to him. Words, they could inflict pain and misery. Bring joy and happiness. Create and destroy. Edward was just happy that it love that it brought.

She snuggled down into the covers, sleeping peacefully for the time being at least. She snuggled into Ed, her source of warmth and comfurt at the moment. It wasn't untill early the next morning that the nightmares beset her. She shivered and shook lightly beneath the covers curling up to try to escape them. After a bit she began to cry and then sat up, scared and frightened. With a look around she recognised she was in Ed's little appartment and then hesitantly lay back and snuggled up against him again, afraid he'd leave her alone. Even if it was three in the morning she was still scared of what had happened in the dream.

From the back of his mind Ed felt movement next to him. He couldn't place what it was. Letting loose a small noise Edward's face twitched. Slowly the alchemist woke from the dream world. Blurry visions and distroted objects surrouned him. There came warmth from his side. Turning his head Ed could make out the outline of a person. "Shara?" his words were soft and groggy. He reached over and stroked her cheek. The wetness of the tears he quickly felt. "What's wrong why are you crying?" Edward pulled her close and held her firmly in his arms, "Tell me what's wrong?"

Shara snuggled against him and burried her head into his shoulder, still sobbing. It took her a few minutes before she could even speak and then a few more before she even dared to. "Don't leave me Ed..." She said softly. "I had a night mare..."
"We were on the train headed for Central, just you and me... nobody else..." She paused to sniffle and shift so that she wasn't speaking into his shoulder. Nuzzling his collar bone she went on. "Then the rest of the Humanculli just appeared out of nowhere. You couldn't react in time and they tyed you up. I was jumped and tyed to the seat. I had to watch helplessly while the tortured you Ed..." She had started crying again "The seat wrapped itself around me and held me fast while they cut you open and then cut you up. Still looking like tht you turned and you left, You left Ed..." and she took a breath of air before diving back into the story "You left me all alone, tyed up tight. I had a vision of seeing a bomb and then everythign flashed white and I ended up here..."
She sniffled and whiped her nose off on the back of her sleeve. She shivered in his grasp, now suddenly very cold and still ver much frightened.

Edward listened to her quietly. Taking in all the details and playing them over and over in his mind. What could of possibly caused her to think that could happen. It was obvious to tell that she didn't want him to leave her. That she didn't wish death upon his soul. "Shara....nothing like that is going to happen." he stroked her hair softly, "I won't ever leave you. That I promise to you." Ed kissed her on the forehead, "Just relax okay. Don't let if bother you."

She snuggled against him and after a bit she relaxed into his arms and slowly her chin sank to her chest and she fell into a light sleep.
When she woke again in the morning she rooled over, snuggled into Ed and lay there, not wantign to get up. Shara barely rememberd the middle of the night and at the moment she was on the border of pleasure, comfurt and not to mention all nice and warm. after a bit thought she reluctantly yawned and got out of bed, shedding her coat and draping it over the back of the couch in his little appartment. She streched and then turned around and just watched him for a few. She smiled and then with a mischevious grin she walked back over to the Ben and kissed Edward softly. She brushed her fingers against his cheek and then turned on Al and kissed his metal noggin before snatchign up her coat, leaving an alchemic message for Ed and then silently slipping out of the room.

From the deeps of his mind Edward began to stir from his sleep. Tossing and turning he opened his eyes to find his room vacant. "Where'd everyone go?" he asked himself as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. With a heavy yawn and stretch Ed jumped out of bed and got dressed.
It was a bit odd to wake up alone. Usually Al was here, but he seemed to of disappeared. Not even leaving a note. "Damn him." he muttered. As he left the room Edward couldn't help but notice map that seemed etched into the wall. "Shara?" Studying the map Edward ran from the building to find the location.

The map led to a small, run down building almost outside of Central. The building looked almost about to fall over. There was a flickering light in one of the windows. Within the small room in the corner of what turned out to be a barn Shara was sitting in a stall with her cat and six kittens all piled on her lap. She looked up when Ed arrived and smiled. "She had kittens." She said gently stroking her cat and then the kittens. After a bit she gently moved her cat and the kittens from her lap and got to her feet. She walked over to Ed and gave him a hug and then waved to her cat and turned to Ed. "Good morning. Give you a scare?" She asked softly. "I hope not, but I had to go find her..." she said, meaning her cat.

Edward smiled and hugged Shara back, "Kinda. Both you and Al were gone. Didn't know where either one of you had gone until I saw the map that you at least left me." Looking at the newly born kittens Ed seemed to drift away. New life, a new chance for each of them, "Have you thought of a name for them yet? Maybe Al for one of the boys."
Kissing Shara softly on the forehead he'd joked, "At least he might actually stick around instead of running off all the time. I don't know what's gotten into him lately." As of lately Alfonse had always seemed to disappear and never told Ed where or what he had been doing. "I'd wish he'd stop." he said with a heavy sigh.
"That could be arranged Fullmetal." the voice rang in his mind. It remained unheard to any other. The look of horror appeared on Ed's face. The voice was familiar. It was the voice of the hamunculi Sorrow.

She reashed out and patted his shoulder. When she saw the look on his face she cocked her head and then frowned. "Ed? what's wrong?" She walked back over to Ed and put her arms around him again. Gently she ran her fingers up and down his arm, waiting for a response from him. She got even more worried and then she sighed and to pull him out of his awful looking state she kissed him long and hard and then pulled back and kissed his nose. "Come on..." She gently tugged on his arm and then took his hand and led him further away from the city, almost knowing where she was going.

Laughter echoed in his mind. "My my. It seems the young alchemist has fallen for her. Very interesting." Even the Shara's warm embrace couldn't shake the cold voice of Sorrow. Every moment went by Sorrow taunted him and challege him from within. As Shara pulled him in for a kiss Ed didn't react. "She killed me, but I will still ruin her life with you." Suddenly Ed was pulled from the voice. Shara had grabbed him and pulled him away. Following her lead the city seemed to disappear. It was awhile before Edward spoke, "Where are we going?"

"Somebody I haven't seen for years..." She said and then paused and turned to look at him. "Somethings wrong I can tell..." She kissed him again and then with a look of pure determination she started walking again. Eventually she put her hands in her pockets and walked. It wasn't untill a good two hours later that she paused and all too suddenly alert she looked back at Ed. Her expression showed something more than concern or fear for him. It was soemthing close to utter shock and horror. Mirroring the look he'd had eariler.

"O..kay." He said softly. The voice in his head seemed to subside finally. There was piece at last. The journey made was quiet. Neither Ed or Shara seemed to speak a word. Only occasionally exchanging glances on the two hour journey. Ed lagged behind her and watched the area. He had no idea where he was at. "Whe-" Shara stopped and turned around with a look of horror, "What's wrong Shara?" A look of concern crossed his face. He had no idea what was going on.
