Equivalent Exchange

Shara was still tense even when the guns were lowerd, she could sense the tension and uncertanty in the air. Shara nodded to his words "And she had a right to, lets go." Shara said and nodded to Armstong as she passed him and then headed for military grounds. "Ed you know the HQ is going to have the same reaction..." she said looking down at him "Just keep me from doing something stupid okay?" She asked and transmuted her arm back to normal.

After a bit Shara thought of something completely off subject and giggled. "Winry'd kill me if she knew what all I've done with the Auto Mail I have." Then they reached the millitary ground poeple stoped and stared and several went for their guns. before their eyes stood the 'dead' Dragon Alchemist. Word preceded Ed and Shara about their arrival.

[Evoth]

"Point your guns elsewhere. I've got this. Anyone who doesn't listen will deal with me personally." He spoke with authority. The soldiers lowered their weapons but didn't dispurse. Edward grunted, "Don't worry, I won't let you do anything." he spoke in a whisper.

Edward walked ahead of her. Causing the soldiers to spread apart to allow them through, "Go back to your positions or else Mustang will deal with you too." There were mixed reactions in the group. They didn't know if they should listen to Fullmetal. "Damn it! I said go!" The troops flinched at the words.

By the time they got to central Shara was wishing she could use one of the soilders as a punching bag. Then something came to her mind and she spoke the lyerics under her breath to calm herself. Besides her whispering to herself she stalekd across the grounds with her head up and her chin up in the air. Dogs of the military would have to do more than point and stare to put a dent in her pride.

once they were inside the building Shara sighed and crossed her arms over her chest. They walked up to the office Roy had and Shara gave a knock on the door. "You talk to him first Ed and I'll come in after a bit." She said leaning against the wall, trying to prepare herself for what Roy might do or say.

[Evoth]

"Fine." Edward opened the door to Mustang's office. He sat behing his desk going over the many reports that had been turned into him. "Sir." Said Edward. Mustand looked up at Edward and sat his papers aside. "So you've finally returned." With that he and Mustang began to discuss all that had happened. The discussion lasted for a while. "Understand Full Metal?" Ed nodded, "Yes sir."

Leaving the room Ed had a dejected look upon his face, "He said that you might be okay. But it's all up to the Fuhrer to decide your fate in the military.

[Ben]

Shara was asleep on her feet and when Ed started talking she opened an eye and caught the last of his sentence and gave a bob of her head. "Do I have to talk to him?" Sahra tilted her head and took a deep breath to cover up the fact that she was yawning. She un-crossed her arms and stood up straighter streching her muscles without trying to show it.

Shara didn't quite know what the Furhrer would say about her and at the moment she really didn't care. If she had to face Roy she could, but having to face the Fuhrer's decision would be like a slow motion death. Shara shook her head softly and waited for what Ed would say to her.

Edward nodded. The Furher was a man of action and it was his choice to allow Shara back into the military or punish her to the maxium penalty for going awol. What would King Bradley decide for Shara? Ed stared at Mustang's door. "It was stupid just to talk to him." he muttered loudly.

With a heavy sigh Edward turned to Shara and placed a firm grip on her shoulder, "Don't worry." A meek smile formed, "I'm sure that the Furher will make the right choice. After all, who would want to get rid of the Dragon Alchemist?" His mind went down the hall to the large double doors. Behind which was the Furher's office.

Shara looked at Ed and arched a brow and then turned her head towards the Furher's office as if reading his thoughts. Shara ruffled his hair and walked off "Come on Bean Alchemist, lets go find my sister." She said with a merry laugh. She knew he didn't like being called short and that made it all the more fun to call him small. Shara breezed out of the offices and looked around to get her bearings and started off.

She wonderd how Eve would handle having her sister come back from the dead all the sudden. Shara sighed and rubbed her head just thinking about waht her sister might do. If it was a teary reunion Shara would feel so bad for leaving, if it was an angry welcome Shara would wish she'd never come, if it turned out to be her normal sister Shara would get a glare, a hug and a boring lecture. She perfered the latter to either of the former.

Ed scoffed when she called him the Bean Alchemist, "Fine, next time I won't help." he said playfully. Taking quick steps to keep up with Shara, Ed played with his watch. His thoughts drifting in and out; nearly causing him to run into a few people. Letting loose a small sigh he glanced over at Shara, "You've been away for a while, so you won't exactly know where Eve is at." Ever since that day that Shara disappeared Eve seemed to lock herself away from the world.

"Remember how she took up an office job? Well....she spends all her time there now. Your 'death' had a deep effect on her." A serious look came to Ed's face, "Seeing you may be a shock for her. Just don't push it." The image of Eve crying passed before Ed's eyes. He shook it off and glared at the ground while he shuffled his feet uncomfortable.

Shara watched him play with his watch and then nodded to his words and then looked about and finaly noticed the tabby sitting beside a building. Shara made her way over to the cat and whisperd a name softly and the tabby look up at her "Yep, its you..." Shara picked Neara up and kissed the tabby's head and the put the cat down again and Neara raced off. Shara looked back over her shoulder and then looked for Ed's red coat.

She spotted it and walked back over and listedned to the rest of what he had to say. After a bit of asking around, Shara and Ed were directed to a small office building in an inactive corner of the military grounds. The two were directed to Eve's office and Shara stood before the door and chewed on her lip with her arms crossed over her chest. Finaly she sighed and tapped on the door with her pointer finger.

Eve was lazing about and filling out a few things and the like. When she heard foot steps she shruged it off and continued to work. When there was a soft knock at the door Eve placed her papers aside and got up from her desk. She cracked the door open and stuided the two faces before her before saying anything. Eve eyed her sister and then softly said "Arn't you supposed to be dead?"

[Evoth]

“Some greeting that is.” Mumbled Edward softly. He figured there would be a hint of happiness or some tears. But instead it seemed nothing but an emotionless greeting. He pushed on the door, hoping that Eve would give into his will, “Why don’t you at least come out or invited us in? Hell, you haven’t seen sight or heard of your sister in over a year and this is the way you greet us.”

The hair on the back of his neck stood on end. He could tell that someone was watching them. Ed turned around to find soldiers and a few office workers staring at the ‘dead’ alchemist. With an irritated sigh he glared at them. His auburn eyes flared with an unyielding passion, “Get the hell back to work! Haven’t you seen an alchemist before?!” Everyone jumped but didn’t move. Edward grunted in defeat. He turned back to his two friends and folded his arms.

[Ben]

Eve looked down at Edward when he started gumbling about greetings and seeing her sister and something or another. She really wasn't paying attention to the kid, her attention was foucsed on her sister and how Shara'd grown and tyred to figure out something else to say. Eve's eyes scanned the crowd watching them and Eve narrowed her eyesand a few of the Soilders edged away from the office.

Shara sighed and crossed her arms, fighting her urge to smack Ed over the head and tell him to be quiet. She took a step away from Ed as he began snapping at the people watching and then locked gazes with Eve. Eve nodded and opened the door wider with one hand holding the door open as she leaned against the door frame. Shara grabbed Ed and pushing him inside the office under Eve's arm and then followed and Eve slamed the door shut in the onlooker's faces. After a minute of studying eachother Eve smiled and Shara returned the smile.

Then the happy reunion came. The two were soon hugging and crying happily, speaking quickly in an odd language for at least seven minutes. After a bit they finaly got ahold of their emotions and whiped their eyes and blew their noses. Shara leaned against the door and Eve took a seat in the desk chair and kicked her feet up on the desk. "So where'd you go? Why'd it take so long? Did you know I was really worried about you?" Eve asked and rained questions down upon Shara one after another for five minutes straight. After the barage of questions ended, shara ruffled Ed's hair and Eve giggled.

ooc: A bit unexpected XD

Ed smirked as he watched what unfolded, "That's more like it." he thought to himself. Now they were acting as if they cared for one another. Family. Edward's thoughts drifted to Alphonse. He hadn't seen him in what felt like ages. He lowered his head and shook it, feeling bad for what he had done.

Watching as Eve asked Shara a barage of unending questions Ed stayed quite. That is until Shara finished explaining and ruffled his hair. Edward scoffed, "Even after all that time you still got to do that like I'm some sort of kid! Well, I'm not!" Looking around quickly for something to prove his manhood, Ed set his eyes upon Shara. Wrapping his arm around her waist he drew her close to him. With this embrace he leaned forward and kissed her upon t he lips.

Eve turned her attention to Ed when he said that he wasn't a kid and watched as Ed pulled her little sister closed and kissed her. Eve's eye brows shot up and her gaze sifted slightly to Shara to see how her little sister was hadling this sudden kiss. Shara had about the same expression on her face, her eyebrows up and her eyes wide. She knew what was going to happen when Ed put an arm around her, but this from him was what supprised her.

Eve began to snicker and pulled her feet off the desk and went back to the paperwork she'd been doing for some time now. Shara wasn't quite sure what to make of the situation, so she stood there with her cheeks turning a few shades darker. When he was done she tilted her head down and then with a smile she ruffled his hair again and with no warning, kissed him back with a giggle.

[Evoth]

Edward couldn't believe what he had just done. He had kissed Shara! Blood rushed to his face once he realized it. His embrassment became even more apparent after she returned what he had done. "I..uh." Ed's words weren't coming out the way he wanted them to. "Gah." Without realizing it, Ed rubbed the back of his neck in embrassment. Kissing her had sent him over the deep end.

Backing away slowly Ed's shaking hand reached for the doorknob, "I..I got to go." He paused and tried to think of something, "P-paper work. Eh, you know how it is." Opening the door he stumbled out and shut the door behind him. "That was close." he spoke softly, "I kissed her." Edward dwelled on the thought. Over and over the image replayed in his mind. Leaning against the wall, Ed tried to blushing.

Shara watched as Ed turned red and he rubbed the back of his neck. Shara watched Ed back towards the door and make up an excuse to leave. When the door closed Shara glanced over at her sister and then shook her head, a broad smile on her face. "So are you seriously busy or is that an excuse to stay in this cramped office all day?" Eve smiled and put her pen down "Hoy bout I pull a Roy and we go get something to eat?"

Shara nodded and rested her hand on thr doorknob and turned it. Eve got up and together the two opened the door and walked out and past Ed, sllready striking up a conversation of how their lives had gone. Before the turned the corner and dissapeard out of sigh Shara winked to Ed and smiled.
