[sorry for the long time between, got kinda swept up in local happenings]

Hex smiled a little, her eyes wide as they walked through the halls. She didn't know quite how to respond, still trying to create a mental image of the school she was walking through....As the approached the stairs, she glanced at him, noting his slightly awkward silence, she quirked a silly grin and elbowed him gently in the ribs before taking off at a sprint up the stairs, voice echoing behind her, "Haha, betch'a can't beat me!" It was completely out of the character she had presented, but she laughed as she ran, more for the joy of actually running, and starting a new future, away from the past.

"Not to long....a week or two tops." He said, "The school has a fairly simple layout, but it's huge." They walked up to the main floor. Lockers and classrooms lined the hallway, "This floor and the second floor are really nothing but classrooms. The cafeteria and the library are also on the first two stories." Kayin told her. Being a tour guide wasn't something he would normally do. But it seems he made an exception today. Walking down the quiet halls (due to the fact that the days classes were over) seemed to create an awkward air between the two. Kayin gave a small laugh but withdrew immediately until they reached the stairs to the second floor.

"Tripple 7," he replied with a smile as he carefully opened the large doors that lead into the school, careful that too much presure was put onto his shoulders. "I kinda remember where it was at. Then again, with this building being so huge, maybe it would take me a while," the australian replied as he scratched his head with thought. "You've been here longer," he chuckled. "I'll let you be leader."

Kayin's eyes opened wide. A challege from her, he couldn't turn it down. He let her get a few paces a head of him before he took off after her. "I bet you I can!" Laughter followed his words as he took chase. Kayin began to catch up with her. "Don't you cheat by using your powers." He said as he passed her. A big grin upon his face.

Hex let out a giddy screach as he came up behind her, tearing down the hallways of the upper floors, looking at him as she put on an extra boost of speed, "I wont if you don't!" It was a bit awkward, running in platforms and a skirt, but she seemed to be well practiced in it, her skirt picked up in her left hand, back pack snugg on her shoulders as she continued running

A grin appeared on his face. "I won't." Of course he wouldn't. Kayin wanted things to be fair. As he saw her pick up speed he quickly followed suit. Picking up his pace Kayin raced past her. The stairs were in sight. He was almost there. His feet began to feel like they weren't touching ground. The sudden feeling of floating in the air. Kayin's feet slipped from the ground and he fell onto the floor with a grunt. The stairs only a few feet away.

ooc: *sighs* Yuki hasn't been on in ages, I am just going to finally get Ae'oko doing something.

Eyes shimmered slightly as the dim lights from the above flowed down onto her dark form. Arms held her from for comfort, her drawing pad actually put away in her side-pack. Chains rattled slightly against her thighs as she found herself standing in the shadows nearby some stairs, eyes occasionally shifting into a wolf's gaze, then a cat's.
"Hm?"
Ebon and ruby streaks flew behind her head as waist long strands flowed behind her, head peaking out from behind the stairs to see what all the noise was. When she spotted it, her chestnut eyes widen slightly with worry of them coming near her... But, it was only the male that bothered her. Ae'oko remember meeting Hex, as she spotted the female running after the male.
Pushing past her lips, a sigh escaped. 'What fun they seem to be having,' she thought, till suddenly the male fell upon the ground. She bit her lip from gasping, trying to remain hidden as she allowed one of her hands to point toward him. Closing her lids down tightly, she allowed her energy to be put into her hand. A dark, glowing substance started to form upon her palm, suddenly shooting out toward Kayin, zipping past his front and turning behind him.
Moving her hand with control, the dark energy acted like a puppet on strings as she directed it to pick up Kayin from the shoulders and direct him onto his feet. Once that was done, she flung her hand back so that slowly, the trail of energy disappeared.
Silent like cat, she flew back behind the stairs within the shadows, leaning her back harshly upon the wall as she drew in her breath....waiting.

Hex slid to a stop when she saw Kayin fall..or, what she thought was going to be a fall, untill he was lifted up the the dark magical strands and set back on his feet. Her eyebrows raised as she walked over next to him, laying a hand on his shoulder, "So...are there like, protective anti-falling abilities the school has? Or was that another one of us?"

[Evoth]

Kayin shook his head and rubbed his eyes, "No, it shouldn't have that. At least I don't think it would after the incident this morning I had running into class." he gave a small laugh, "I guess I can be a klutz at times." He looked down the hallway and up the stairs, he saw no one. "I don't know. No one seems to be here."

Letting out a small noise, similar to a "merph" she checked once more.."But someone's got to be here if that happend....." and she took a few steps toward the staircase, "Hello?" she tilted her head, long hair falling around her in gentle waves, "You can come out...." she continued looking around...a frown on her lips

Allowing one of her canines to slowly dig into her lip, she released what breath she had slowly through her nose, trying to remain silent as she kept her eyes close. 'I rather not,' she though silently, leaning her head onto the wall as she listened to the duo move around, knowing they were looking for the one whom stopped the fall. She would've said something... She spoke to Hex once before when the female helped retrieve a piece of artwork flying around the campus. But even so, she still felt a little awkward.... Especially since she didn't know that male Hex was with.
Muttering new words beneath her breath, she decided she would try to attempt making herself a shadow, something one of her teachers had been working on with her for a while. As her words slowly came to a halt, she felt her bones disable themselves as she was able to move more freely, flattening up against a wall as she tried to turn darker....till she heard something.
*CRASH*
"No," she whispered in dismay, watching as her bag didn't morph into a shadow, but remained solid and fell onto the floor, popping up the flap and allowing all her belongings to spill out from behind the stairs. Everything from drawing pencils, to school work, to artwork and photos... All of it flew out from her bag...
Ae'oko allowed one foot to slowly step out from the wall, regaining her solid form as she lowered herself slowly to retrieve her bag, hair falling before her face as she knew now she was spotted.

The sudden noise caught Kayin off guard. He quickly turned towards the noise, "I know I couldn't of imagined that. It might be the one who helped." He ran down the hallway, this time being a little more careful not to trip. The echo of his footsteps ended as he turned the corner to find Ae'oko standing with all her items scattered across the floor.

As hex watched teh papers tumble from the corner, she headed over with Kayin, peeking around to see Ae'oko, she walked over and kneeled next to her, scooping up the papers gently and smiling a bit, "You know......I need to get you a collapsable binder or somthing doll...." was all she said, keeping her distance from the girl she'd met earlyer, still wary of scaring her.

[Serenity]

The female smiled slightly, fingers gently pushing away stray hair from her eyes so she could see what she was doing. "Um...thank you." She seemed to laugh slightly at the comment Hex gave her, surprised that she had even allowed herself to do such a thing.
Gently lifting up each paper and placing it back within her bag, every so often she found herself glancing up toward Kayin, wondering to herself how she even managed to help him. That was something she had tried to master before, getting her dark powers to work in a way she wants it too.
Darkness. Believed to be worked in such ways of evil. She was given this when her own heart turned black and cold against both normal and gifted humans, thinking she would be hurt by them constantly after her experience when younger. Now she works to control the darkness, use it for good purposes rather than just for fighting. Is it when something bad happens to someone else, she can finally control her power to do something good?

Kayin could feel the awkward air between all them. The subtle glances that Ae'oko gave him. He returned her glances with a small smile. "Was that you who helped me out?" He asked, "If so, I'd like to thank you for doing so." Kayin chuckled, "It would of been embarrassing if I had fallen on my face twice in one day." He grabbed a some of her pencils and some of her artwork. His eyes widened as he gazed over the work. "Wow! You've got amazing skills in art." Kayin handed the artwork to her, "My name is Kayin, and your's is?"

Hex smirked slightly, watching Kayin as she continued helping out Ae'oko, murmmuring to herself, "I say it still counts as a fall..." then went back to being quiet to let the two introduce themselves, sliding back to the easy silence that came as a natural state for herself, now and again giving her head a small shake to get her hair out of her face, her nose wrinkling slightly as a single strand of hair refused to budge, causing her to finally give up the battle and use her free hand to brush her hair back, pulling the single hair out with a quiet growl of a mutter about how her hair had a mind of its own. As she finished up, she sat back in her crouched position, fingers rubbing over the lines of scars that covered her hands as if they itched, eying both of her acquaintances.
