Nysa was already flipping through a few of the pages. They were thin pages, like in a big dictionary. The cover appeared aged, but Nysa found that made the book more welcoming. She looked up at Isabell. "I like big, 'boring' books," she said with a laugh. "And I have no idea how long it will take... it matters how long I lock myself up in my room..." She began to laugh.

A light humming was heard that went along with the music loudly playing from headphones, which was identified in a moment as a Sublime CD laid only a few inches off from him. He wore a dark black T-shirt that had a mid-sized light blue square on his chest. In that square was a black image of a surfer, while in the corner were white letters reading 'iSurf'. He also had a pair of camo boardshorts on, which was slightly hard to notice of the mid-sized board that laid upon his lap.
It was a Becker board, being a LC-3 with blue color on the top. A dark beige line went down the middle, only to be broken by dark blue letters. A white stripe went around the board, which then met sky blue that gradually faded to white as it approached the beige line.
He worked in complete solitude from the others, for he didn't want to be distracted. As of now, he was replacing the fin and putting a noseguard on his board.
"Dammit," he muttered, observing a mark halfway up his board. That was were it cracked in half, during a competition not to long ago. What angered him was he accidently cracked it, when he discovered his power of water. He hardly spoke of what exactly happened, for he put himself and others in danger. Instead, when people try to find out, he changes the subject.
The Australian sighed as he finished up his board, crossing his legs so his black Etnies where lying beneath his knees. He turned to put his board back in its boardbag. His muscles shown slight, which right after doing so, he dropped the bag to rub his arms. "Huh..." he sighed, leaving back against the tree as blue eyes scanned those whom were roaming the campus, he tried to see if he could spot someone that wanted to talk. Being new, he was eager for a new friend and also eager to find out who his room mate would be. Shrugging, he continued his search.

When Frankie hung up the phone, she sighed and smiled to herself. She wrapped her arms around herself, to protect from the September wind. She looked around the campus, watching all the kids interact with each other. They were all making new friends and here she was, talking to her mom. She laughed at the thought. Everyone liked her because she was funny, but she never fit in with anyone. She refused to conform, and so she spent most of the weekends with her mom. Frankie smiled, missing her mom already. She spotted someone new, someone she hadn't seen before. He sat under a tree and had a... was that a surfboard? It was. He had a surfboard on his lap. She began to do what she always did when she spotted someone new. She copied his appearance. She was working on his nose when she caught his eye. She smiled and waved, forgetting that she looked like him.

ooc: Trying to post, give me time. One of my cats doesn't want to leave the computer screen alone so I can't really see what I am trying to write.

((Haha, no problem. My dogs are always sitting on me so I only have one hand to type with. Plus, my cat does the same thing yours is.))

Coshaun's gaze slowly met that of....wait a sec! His own? "That's a Clayton's of meself," he muttered with his Austrailian accent. When the person started to wave, he lifted his arm slightly with a hesitant and confused wave back. "No it isn't really me, but this seems like a dag person," he whispered once with a small chuckle. He than realized that he had been using some of his natural words from his country and shook his head. "Come back mate, most people would get the words I say," he said to himself as he pushed his hand through dirty blonde bangs, waiting for the form of the actual person to be revealed so he could see who he was actually waving to.
ooc: Brain dead, sister won't zip her lips...Sorry it took so long to post.

((Haha, no problem))
Frankie watched the stranger's confused expression. 'Why... oooh, crap.' She thought, remembering she had copied his appearance. She turned back to her regular appearance, and stood up, brushing herself off. She began to walk towards him, an embarassed expression on her face. "Sorry about that." She called, when she was only a few yards from him. ((Sorry, I'm Canadian, so I deal with metres. If yards is too far, just ignore what I said.))

ooc: Its alright, I say yards as well.
ic: Cerulean gems widen slightly at the sudden change. 'Geez,' he thought. 'Did see that one coming.' Slowing turning off his CD player, he pulled his headphones off and placed it on his surfer bag, slowly himself up so he could meet the gaze of the female before him as he approached her to where he was a few feet away. "G'day," he said as he listened to her apology. "Ah, no worries. Just a little startling that's all," he replied as he tilted his head towards one side. "Many shape-shifters like yourself? I haven't really seen any, and I have heard of one who has the ability of water and ice. I just have the ability of water," he shrugged as his hand massaged one of his sore shoulders again. "Oh, sorry mate. I am Coshaun, and I guess you can kinda tell, I came from Australia. Lived in the U.S. for at least eight years now. Seems alright, people are too judgy though."

Frankie laughed to herself at his many questions. She waited until he was finished, trying to get her thoughts in order. "Yeah, people can be like that. But I think it's cool. I wish I had an accent. I don't know of many shapeshifters around here. I've only seen one, and she turned into an animal, not someone else." She laughed, she was glad shapeshifting wasn't her only power. "I have electrical abilities too, the shapeshifting just came along as a bonus." She watched him rub his shoulder, and she frowned. She wondered what was wrong. "I'm Franklin, but everyone calls me Frankie."

Coshaun chuckled to himself. "To me, you and the others here have an accent. I am used how people in Australia talk. Visited every so often when I got the chance... Still felt like I never left at points." He paused as he shook his head with a smile. "Lived in the U.S. for so long and I am still not use to how you guys talk. Therefore, you should be happy." He grinned. "You do have an accent." He watched her eyes study him as he rubbed his shoulder. This caused him to stop and cross his arms over his well-built chest. "Wondering huh? Let's just say I had a little incident when I went to a rage with my friends. This was when I discovered my powers and well.... Nothing good came out of that experience. This was only about a month back, so I am still new to how this element can be controlled and worked with." He paused for a moment, and then looked back towards Franki. "Hm... Haven't met much sheilas with that name. Seems pretty cool. I am Coshaun, pleasure to meet ya."

"Pleasure's all mine." She laughed. "But I already knew your name, you told me already. It's a good thing I've seen Australian movies, or I would've thought you just called me Sheila." She laughed again, something she did a lot. "There's not many sheilas in America with my name either. I'm pretty unique." She winked at him. "So you power is water? And you only found out a month ago? Wow. I found mine out when I was nine. Can't really remember a time without them. They help when you're playing pranks."

His hand slowly met his face. "I did, didn't I? Eh, lack of sleep I suppose. Just arrived today, had a little bad streak on the plane here." He shrugged, blushing slightly as he looked towards his bag, sighing. "You found out at the age of nine? Wow that's a beaut," he whispered. "I really wish I had found out at that age. Then again, I never have figured out just /how/ I came around with them. Seems like most people around here are well with their abilities... I suppose most of them learned at a fairly young age, that or at least a year ago or something." He paused and look around the campus, finally noticing the lake. "Huh, many people with the ability water and ice train there? Or in the swimming pool that someone told me about?"

"I wouldn't really know. I would guess they would train in the swimming pool, seeing as it's warmer and doesn't have stuff living in it." She laughed. "Don't worry about just finding out your powers. People don't come here because they've known for years that they have their powers, they come to learn control. We've had a few accidents with people who didn't have any control, and they were all people who found out young." She rolled her eyes, remembering those accidents.

He smiled slightly. "Yeah, I noticed when I was heading towards my dorm. A girl training in the dark arts was having difficulty with control. Girl seemed scared at what was happening though the teacher seemed to smile as he helped her." He looked towards Frankie once more, barely catching sight of her rolling eyes. Rubbing a different shoulder than before, he could help but asked if something had happened to her. Probably nothing compared to the details of his, but he figure it would be nice to know her better.
