ooc;; Okay, this is a little intro I came up with for one of my favorite troubled teens, Felix. Basically it is your standard gifted running from scary government officials roleplay.
Anyone can join as either a government official or another gifted person.
As for limits on violence, swearing, romance, I have none so whatever... I do tend to swear a rather lot though. Just as a warning.
bic;; There was only one thought running through Felix Noel’s mind as ran down the city streets trying to lose the government official cars that were chasing after him and that was this: Felix is a name which in Latin means luck, but if that is truly so, why was it that he seemed to have the worst luck possible? He dodged behind an ally and sighed in relief as the cars drove past him. He turned his head to stare about the ally he had chosen as his hiding place before grimacing in barely concealed disgust.
The walls of the buildings forming the ally were caked with dirt and covered in graffiti. The pavement below his feet was cracked and there were potholes filled with what he hoped was water. There was a few trash cans and abandoned cardboard boxes lying around in the shadows but not much else. Felix wrinkled his nose and stared out at the street beyond the ally comforted by the thought that he probably wouldn’t have to stay there much longer.
The trick to staying alive was to always be on the move. The government officials now had devices that could track those with powers. Gifts was what the government called them for they were always trying to use them for the betterment of society. That was bullshit and Felix knew it. All they wanted was for those with gifts to fight in their wars. They wanted to use their so-called gifts to take over the world. Felix had always hated all forms of government so it was no surprise to him the things they were willing to do to get power.
He smiled in sarcastic manner at the train of his thought and broke it off abruptly. There was no sense to be angry with something he had no power to change. After all, there is no such thing as a good politician. And there was always the threat of his powers acting up along with his emotions. It wouldn’t do to set the ally n fire just because he was reminiscing about the evils of the government. Instead he busied himself with running his fingers through his hair, trying to get the messy, cherry red layers to lie flat instead of standing up at odd angles like they always did. It was a losing battle of course but he could still try.
Sirens blared up again in the distance and Felix sighed in exasperation. So much for getting his hair to look right. He glanced down the other end of the alley and took off running deeper into the heart of the city. He passed trash cans and vaulted over low chain link fences, barely lowering his speed as he did so. Once his jeans caught on a fence and tore at the knee but he paid no attention, his clothes had been torn and stained many times before. Finally he came to a stop when the sirens had faded into the distance. He was now deep in the slums of the city, a place that he had come to know well after his two year period of running.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
"Hm? Someone's coming?" A rustle of fabric could be heard from some shadows. A woman in her mid-twenties reached into her pocket, removing a device. It beeped quietly. "Ah... So the stakeout hasn't been a complete waste of time after all," she murmured, stroking the device. Worth it's weight in gold, the little machine told her where gifteds were, within a certain range. Pressing a button, she silenced the beeping, and shoved it back into her pocket.
Hina got to her feet, wincing at the dirt that had attached itself to her lilac dress. She looked very, very odd, not at all like the sleek, weapon-toting hounds that did most of the hunting. A silk dress hung off her skeletal frame, and masses of frizzy black hair hung down to her shoulder blades. She wore goggles that made her hazel eyes look bug-like and huge. A leather work belt was cinched at her waist, it's pouches filled with an assortment of wires, tools, and mechanics. Probably the most dangerous thing she had on her was a wrench. She had rubber boots on, completing an outfit that made her look like a madwoman.
Which probably isn't that far from the truth, considering that she volunteered to go hunting gifteds with no weapons. Of course, brute force wasn't her style. Nor was it her mission. She lulled gifteds into a false sense of security, befriended them, and led them into traps. Not the most glorious of jobs, but it paid the bills.

ooc;; Oh em gee! I love your character. It works so well against Felix's paranoia!
bic;; Felix's breath steadied out in a matter of seconds. He had been running for so long that he was amazing at it. His body was lithe and muscled though it was hard to tell under his baggy t-shirt and loose jeans. Two years on the streets had also taught him to be thankful for what he had and not to care about what was going on in normal everyday society. He didn't belong there anymore.
He stared about the new ally he was standing in the middle of before migrating over to lean against one of the walls in the shadows. His orange eyes looked oddly bright against the dim light. Felix could have sworn he heard something else further up the ally but figured it was only the rats that liked to live there. He shivered at the thought. He hated those damn things.
Now he moved more slowly, creeping along at a snail's pace to avoid anything or anyone that might be there. The only sound of his progress was a slight scuffing of his red tennis shoes against the moist pavement.

((Well, I didn't wanna make someone who would get burned to a crisp as soon as Felix clapped his eyes on him or her. Thankies.)) Hina glanced at her wrist. Oh, right. He watch had been destroyed by the last gifted she betrayed. Ugh. Now she had no way of knowing how long she had been sitting in that corner, waiting and dozing. Ah, well. Didn't really matter anyway. The device told her that the gifted was heading in her direction. She couldn't chance him or her hearing it and guessing, so she would have to find the gifted the old-fashioned way. Or maybe not. There was a young man in an alley that was visible from hers. One with red hair and orange eyes. If he wasn't a fire-gifted, she would eat her own detector. Of course, she couldn't let him know that she knew. She stepped out of the shadows that had hidden her, waving at the boy. "Hello!" She called, smiling widely. "It's not often I get visitors around these parts! What brings you around here?"

As soon as Felix saw movement he was instantly on edge. His entire body poised to spring and attack at any moment. Actually he was about to do so when the voice made him pause. That was about when he actually decided to look at the person talking to him. His eyebrows rose at the woman's appearance but he didn't relax his stance, if anything her oddness set him more on edge.
There was one question that Felix generally asked when he met someone on the street, and the answer to that question usually made or broke the deal. After all, in Felix's mind, anyone could be working for the government. "Who the fuck are you?" he practically hissed, plainly ignoring her questions.
Now if she tried to attack him or did anything else that he deemed odd he would merely burn her to a crisp and take off running. He had learned not to mind silly things like murder. He was already a convinct wasn't he? Why not live it up a little while he could.

'I hope I finally lost him' Was the line running through 17 year old Annas head as she crowched in the trees. She was attempting to stop her panting as her hazel eyes watched out for the agent she just encounterd. Yes Anna was a gifted, she was able to create illusions. Meaning that she could trick people into seeing something that wasn't there. Which could be usefull, unless you are going up against an agent who is trying to bring you into the gonvernment, and they know your power. Meaning they try and ignore it, meaning you have no offensive power.... it wasn't fun. She sighed as she finally caught her breath. She was getting a little cold as it got late. Considering she was wearing a pair of shorts and a T-shirt, and it was breezy outside. Her hair was black, and short, her bangs were longer in the front and colored blue while the rest of her hair was black and a little shorter. 'It has been thirty minutes, it has to be safe, you can't stay in the tress alnight.' She told herself finally convincing herself it was safe as she got up and started out on to the road trying to look like there wasn't a care on her mind.

Hina giggled. "I'm Hina, silly. Mechanic extrodinaire. Who else?" She motioned to her tool belt, then continued to babble. "I kinda got evicted from my pad, though. Got fired, doncha know. But anonther job'll come up soon, I know it!" She tipped her head to one side, hearing more footsteps. Her detector was off though, there was no way of telling if the newcomer was gifted or not. "Ooh! More company!" Hina clapped her hands happily, though inwardly she was frowning. If it was just some hobo who was going to mess up the entire night....
"Shall I go greet him or her?" Hina asked. "Or do you want to say hello first?"

Ooc: 'Kay.
"I hate this" A soft child-like voice whimpered from behind a cluster of trash cans. The voice belonged to 17 year old Lena and the slightly annoyed 'Shh" that followed belonged to her twin brother Cyrus. The two teens where twins, the same blond hair the same lithe body, though Cyrus a bit more muscle with shaggy hair that fell a good two inches into his pale blue, though almost gray eyes, and Lena soft and almost frail looking with waist length blond hair shoved into a messy ponytail and large, bright aqua eyes that flickered from shades of blue to green. The two where opposites but it made for more good then bad, but when it made for bad, it got bad.
Cyrus was the typical rebellious teen, strong and independent and a little too over-protective of his 'baby-sister' as he called her. The two had been on the run since age 8, they had run from their adoptive parents who had been planning on turning them over to the government and the whole time Cyrus had learned to control his powers and was a force to be reckoned with. He at the moment was sitting cross-legged against the trash cans his arm wrapped securely around his half-asleep twin who was leaning against him, one hand clutched his black wife-beater the other resting neatly in her lap. He glared down at his worn tenni shoes as if it where all their fault. He wore a pair of denim cargos torn at one knee and packed with their few belongings. A wallet stuffed with several 'borrowed' dollars two pocket knife and a lighter, it was in a way a pitiful stash, but it was theirs.
Lena yawned lightly. She was the one who was always getting into trouble, whether it was bumping into some thug or falling while they where on the run, she was a handful. Lena is a shy, soft spoken girl who's willing to trust just about anyone who comes her way no matter how much her brother objects, a light cheery hello, maybe an invite to come into a house and Lena was hooked, instantly claiming that the person was sent to help them and that got them into worse trouble. Cyrus looked at her like a innocent little 4 year old who needed constant look-after, he couldn't leave her alone one Minuit before she was shyly talking to some passer-by or had wandered off. besides all that she hadn't fully mastered her powers, she had a hard time freezing water unless her emotions got in the way and when she was cheerful sometimes bubbles would appear around her as she walked, sat still or even danced around. She attracted too much attention for his liking and Lena knew it and tried to stay quiet, or stay still. The girl wore a denim skirt and a light blue tank top, though it was covered by an overly large black hoodie that belong to her brother and was ten times to large nearly reaching he knees, and her feet bore tattered black flip flops and some would think it be hard for her to run in them but she could get around in them quiet easily.
Lena suddenly st up quickly "I don't like it here at all" She hugged her knees drawing the hoodie over them until she resembled a black ball. "You sense somthin?" Cyrus gruffly asked, Lena nodded, she was able to sense water in deferent air currents if the water was disturbed meaning it bounced of something she could tell, that was the first thing she;d mastered, drawing her powers from humidity in the air using it to sense things, and creating balls of boiling water to fling at government officials while big bro blew them away with miniature tornadoes and whirlwinds.

Anna sighed when she thought she heard voices ahead. She hadn't thought an abonded street such as this one would produce many people but she must have supposed wrong. She turned the corner and too her surprise saw just who was on the street. A woman who looked a little odd to her. She continued walking though even if she did produce a curious look towards the two talking as she did so.

"Eh?" Hina turned to peer at the girl who had passed by the alley. "Welcome!" She called cheerily. "I'm so lucky. Normally no one comes by these parts! I'm Hina. And you are?"
Maybe that girl was a gifted. She thought she heard a description of one who looked similar to the girl. An illusionist, was it? Eh... Well, if she could get two birds with one net, all the better. And if the girl wasn't gifted... Well, they could always set her free afterwards. Not too many normal people walked these alleys.

Anna turned her head when the woman, who was a little oddly dressed, called to her. Great there went the idea of going by with out trouble. She stopped where they were seeing as she would have difficulty introducing herself from afar, she wasn't the type to yell out in such ways. "Uh, I am Anna, nice to meet you, I was just kind of walking by is all."
