Waiting For My Moon to Fade


Every night
After all is dark and no one moves
I climb out my window
To stare at my moon

A few tears may fall
A few memories unleashed
But for one happy second
I remind myself, that you stared up at this moon tonight

And I smile faintly, just a bit
Then, all of it is over
And I climb back in

Pull back up the covers and hide away
Waiting for my moon to fade
