Edward narrowed his eyes and looked at her. He raised his finger as if he was ready to scold her but Ed tried to qwell down the emotion of anger. "I'll show you short." his mutter was low, almost inaudiable. "As for your training...."
Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his state issued watched and looked at the time. "We can begin today or tomorrow. It doesn't matter to me." Gently placing his watch back into his pocket, "May when we stare your sister can come and watch. Possibly help out." A wry grin appeared on his face.

Shara snickerd when he mumbled to himself and then got a blank looked when he started talking about training. "My sister help out? I don't think..." She was cut short and with a supprised squeak, jumped about two feet into the air when Eve sppeard almost out of nowhere before them. Eve smirked and giggled a bit. "EVE!" Shara glared at her sister and then sighed.
"Yes, I'll help Edward." Eve said and walked with them, not know where they were going. "I think my sister will be much more helpful if we start right away." Eve said and then put an arm about Shara's shoulders and whsiperd to her "You'll do fine."

Edward couldn't help but laugh at himself as he had jumped slightly when Eve appeared. "I'm glad you can help. That means that she'll learn a little better with two state alchemists teaching." Ed knew that each alchemist seemed to specialize in certain fields. At least with Eve helping out Shara wouldn't have to focus in one area at a time.
"Why don't we meet down by the river front. Not to many people live near there so no one should get hurt if Shara happens to mess up." Hopefully that wouldn't happen. Or at least Ed hoped so.

Eve nodded and walked off and then paused and headed in the direction of the library mumbling something about her books being destroyed. Shara laughed when Eve started mumbling to herself and then headed for the river front. When she got there she found a place to sit and watched the water.
"SIS!" Big blue eyes looked at the crystal clear creek before her. "Yes Shara we're going swimming and we might even catch some fish too." Shara giggled with delight and followed Eve into the cool waters. The sun was out and it was just getting to be the hottest part of the day. they swam for awhile and then Eve brought out a fine mesh net and ran it through the creek, she dumped several small silver fish into the pail they'd brought with them. "They're so small, we can't eat these!" Shara complained and Eve laughed. "No, but they're eaten by bigger fishies and so on and then when a huge fish dies it inturn ends up feeding the smaller fishies." Eve explained and Shara nodded.
She was drifting through her memorie, un-aware that all the while she was talking and drawing in the dirt on the river bank. "All is one and One is All..." her hand traveled in a circle and then made a second circle inside the first "...the entire world travels in a cycle, even in ways we can't see." her fingers traced out a few things among the circles "One who accepts all of that, understands it, and creates...That is what an alchemist dose. To know that flow, to decompose, and to recreate...That is alchemy."

Edward nodded, "It's the basic principal of life. One lives so another can die. And we carry on that way until the end. That circle can only be broken with the use of the stone that's in your automail." Ed grabbed one of the small fish from the water and watched it dance around in his hand. Gently tossing it into the air he allowed it to fall back in to the water.
Turning back to them he sat down by the waters edge, "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. We alchemist really believe that to be the world's one, and only, truth."

Shara snapped out of her daze and looked up at him and then nodded. "I remember more that Sothe told me about transmutation, alchemy and the like." Eve stepped up behind Shara and placed a white candle inthe middle fo the circle. Shara nodded and put her fingers over the candle. There was a blue glow and the sandle changed shape untill it became a replica of Ed standing there and Shara standing next to him giving him a kiss.
Shara just smiled and Eve snickerd knowing what was comming next. Shara got to her feet and then kissed Ed on the cheek. Eve broke out laughing and then held a thick alchemy book out before her, using it as a sheild. Shara's face was blank, but her cheeks ahd turned bright red. "I can read and memorize books for drawing transmutation circles, but you need to teach me how to do it your way. Without a circle..."

Placing his hand up to the spot were he was kissed, his face began to flush. Ed heard Shara say something, "Oh God, I can't think right now." he thought to himself. Turning away from them so they couldn't see his face Edward tried to think. "I'm going to get her back someway." The thought of Major Armstrong coursed his mind, "I'm going to set Armstrong up with Eve."
Edward turned back around with an innocent smile on his face. His thoughts somewhat cleared,"To transmute without a circle requires some skill." he paused trying to figure a way to explain it, "Try to picture the circle in your mind and attempt to transmute an object." Ed didn't know if it was possible. The only people that could transmute without a circle had been to the otherside. Seen the Gates and what truths were hidden behind it.

Shara nodded and sast down, her legs folding beneath her. She clsoed her eyes and visualized a transmuatation circle and then smiled and immitated Ed, doing as she'd seen him do eariler. She clapped her hands together and pressed then into the ground. The ground beside her burst into blue light and the gound was sucked away and standing in a deep crater was a replica of Alphonse.
"Like that?" Shara asked openeing her eyes and stood up, putting a hand on Eve's arm to steady herself. Eve blinked and studied the figure. "Wow, I never thought of this before, but Al's cute." Eve said scrutinizing Shara's handiwork. "Gosh, being in armor makes him look really stong." Eve mutterd and then relaized what she was saying and shut up. "um... something useful.....
The basic idea of a transmutation circle is the power of a circle.
A circle represents the circulation of power.
By drawing a construction equation on it,
the power is able to manifest itself.
By knowing the flow of power and its laws,
you can cope with many things.
One who accepts all of that, understands it, and creates...

Eve nodded and looked at Shara who nodded "I understand."

Ed was taken back by what she had done. She performed a perfect transmution without a circle. This raised so many questions in the back of his mind. Did she see the other side? That might explain her arms. But then again she said she was found on the road as a child.
"Very good." replied Edward, "I'm amazed that you could do it. But then again you know the rules by heart don't you? The first step is understanding the structure of a certain matter, followed by decomposition, and finally reconstruction and manipulation." He smirked, "Well enough about that. You just have to perfect your technique if you expect to keep your title."

Shara nodded and looked at the cover of the book that Eve pressed into her hands. "A begginers guide to...alchemy...." Shara cast a side glance at Eve and she shrugged. "Eve?" Eve nodded "It covers the basics and the tast twenty five chapters cover transmutation circles and the like. Then there is also Alchemy 101, Easy Aclemy, Intermediate Alchemy, Advanced Alchemy, Advanced Alchemy two and a few other books I loaned out form the library."
Shara's eyes had gone wide, she studied the cover and then flipped through the pages and then closed the book. "Looks like I have some reading to do." Eve nodded and then smiled "Your photographic memory will come in handy." Shara nodded and then turned to Edward. "Where's Al? I think he might like to see his statue." She said nodding to the figure she'd made.

"The hell if I know." Ed shrugged, "The last time I saw him was before we left for here. Lt. Hughes called him into his office." Edward let out a small chuckle, "Probably showing him his collection of photos. He'll be there for a couple of hours if that's the case."
With a smile Ed sat down on the soft ground and looked at the bookcover, "It seems that you have a lot of memorizing to do tonight. I think tomorrow we'll see how much you remember." He gave a devious grin. The power he had made him feel a bit like his teacher. Then he remembered how much he hated that.

Shara handed the book back to eve and then tapped Ed on the head "EDWARD IS A SHORT MIDGET!" She screamed loudly and raced off laughing as she did so. Eve waved Ed off after her sister, knowing that she'd want something to eat. "You'll find her in the mess hall." Eve said and left to go see where they'd be staying while parts of the barracks were being re-built.
When Shara reached the mess hall she stoped and leaned agaisnt a wall to catch her breath. Her sides hurt and she was out of breath. After a bit she walked in through the door and got some food. She sat at a table that had a few other alchemists sitting there as well. One of them, a tall, well muscled man looked over at her "I didn't know they were letting children join the military." He asid and eyed her food.
Shara paid him no attention and continued eating, hoping that Ed would show up and get the immature fool of her back. She didn't want to make a scene at the moment. After a bit the man stood up and stood across from her. "I'm talking to you, you have to obey your superiors you know." Shara nodded. "Then I order you to look at me." He growled and shra sighed. "Just because I'm in the military dosen't mean I have to obey orders." Shara retorted.
The man's face turned beat red and he looked about ready to strangle her. Shara stood up and then looked up at him. "You really don't want to mess with me right now." "I don't?" "No you don't." Shara's eyes told her intentions, but the foll before her didn't even notice. He walked around the table and then lunged for her. shara dropped to the floor and shot her foot up hard. There was a startled yell of pain and a heavy thud.
Shara got to her feet, trying to catch her breath. "I told you not to mess with me." She pointed to the other people at the table. "Tell me your names." All of them said their names and then Shara nodded and strode out of the mess hall. The man who'd tried to stangle her was laying on the floor in absolute pain.

"I'm gonna kill her!" Yelled Ed. He ran after her as fast as he could. As he passed Eve he only managed to catch the last bit of what she said, "At the mess hall eh." Edward ran through the streets of Central. But was slowed down by the crowds that were just now leaving work. "Damn it!"
Edward finally made his way slowly through the crowd and got to the mess hall. The sound of someone yelling in the mess hall reached his ears. Ed raced to the doors to find Shara just leaving. He looked inside to see a man on the floor groaning in pain. "I see you're making friends with the soldiers already."
He let out a sigh, "If you fight like that then I don't see why Sorrow won't leave you alone. Going through all that I'm amazed you haven't killed him with the way he acts." His thoughts went to the humunculi he had fought, "He's no were near as strong as Lust and Greed."

Shara looked at Ed and smiled when he made his scarcastic remark. Shara looked back over her shoulder at the solider. "I've known Sorrow longer than you have. He may not be strong, but in a fair fight he's fast, too fast. Thats why he's gotten onto military controled grounds and off them without being caught. He goes easy against you only so you underestimate him." Shara said and looked back at Ed.
"He'll play mind games with you and the military untill we're all too confuzed and busy to see wahts comming at us. Then he'll come in speedily and stealthily and possibly kill us all before we know what hit us. If I'm right he'll get the other homunculi to help him. We'll have to be careful. As for the poor soilder, I only kicked him in self defense. Ask his buddies if you have to." Shara explained and yawned.

Edward scoffed at her remark, "If you think so. Most of the ones killed possesed skill only in markmenship not alchemy. Hawkeye is really the only one here that posses both skills." He turned to her with a determined look upon his face, "With Hawkeye, Mustang, Hughes, and Armstrong here I doubt that they will try anything too drastic.
Sure the thought remained: if they were to bring more humunculi in there would be even more trouble. How could they stop them without kill innocent by-standers. Then the thought hit him. "A trap."
