"Well. I was that girl sitting on the merry-go-round. I had ran away from my foster parents at the age of ten. I had no where to go. No one to live with. No friends.Nothing. I lived in the park for well over three years. Until that figure in the background, he took me in. He gave me clothing. He gave me shelter. He helped me. He was one of us. He had powers, also.He could sense one with powers, thats why he helped me."
Aonabe glanced around the halls, hoping no one else was around to hear her story. "He told me he was my uncle, but I didnt believe him. If he was my uncle, then I would have went to live with him instead of foster parents. I asked him this, and he said he could not have anyone with him at the time." Aonabe stopped, and continued down teh hall to the cafeteria.

She walked with her. "I see." She said simply. "You never know he may have been telling the truth and luckily he helped you.' She said. "Also lucky you are here." She sounded enthusiastic. "Because now I may have found my first freind for this school, and for all you went through you have to be awfully strong." She added.

"Im not going to let my past keep me from living a good future." Aonabe said, thinking of that off the top of her head. She had heard it from her 'uncle' once before, when he was down. She missed him, though she never really got to know him. "He died a week before I came to this school." Aonabe said, sniffling slightly.

"I am sorry, but what you said before are wonderful words to live by and I am sure that he is proud of you right now." She said. Soon they were at the lunch line. "Wow seems we made it here later than I though." She said since many students were already outside doing their own thing.

"Um...." Her voice seemed to crack slightly, trying to find the right tone to use, though her notes shook slightly as she looked away from the female, already wanting to crawl back into the shadows. "Thank you.... I would have been heart-broken if this had been lost," she whispered, slowly taking the drawing and putting it back with the others. Hex nodded slowly, still edgy. Her stance had changed since the other had neared her, legs staggerd slightly, her jaw clenching tightly.. She shook her hair from her face and forced a smile...a very obviously forced one at that..."Not a problem.." her voice was whispery and bittersweet, and her strange eyes, now uncovered, peerred at the other with the same wary-look she was being given....and she stayed, in that stand off for a moment, before twitching and mummbling.."What sort of creature was that anyway?"

[[Maybe this should be dinner....lunch passed, remember?]] Tobias's chaser had relented, but the chase had taken a lot out of even a dumb jock like him. He was pretty fast, but had little stamina, and he'd run full tilt boogie the whole way. Panting, practically gasping for breath and at the same time praying to God that the two girls leaving for dinner were a couple, so he wasn't making a fool of himself in front of two single or straight girls.
His respiration finally stabilized, and he realized that, along with wind, the chase had burnt calories. "Time for dinner, Tobias," he muttered, walking to the cafeteria. He kept a safe distance behind the girls.

Aonabe gave a weak smile, and looked around the half-empty cafeteria. She let out a small sigh, no longer hungry. "Im not hungry anymore." Aonabe said, and turned to walk down the hall. Her voice seemed to shake a little from telling the girl her past though she just met her.

Crap. So maybe they weren't a couple. No kiss, no nod as one of them, the one Tobias recognized, left. Probably just friends, or, maybe, they had just met. You never knew, and he cursed himself for jumping to conclusions.
He entered the cafeteria, scanning for Kayin. Damn, where was he? Probably at the pool.

((Man, I missed a lot didn't I?)) Frankie sighed and left her last class. Finally, the day was over. Time to observe. She went quickly to her locker, opening it and grabbing her laptop. She also grabbed her bag, which contained her own dinner. "One last night of Mom's cooking 'til Thanksgiving. Thinking of her mom, she remembered she was supposed to call her. She'd do that outside. Reaching once more into her locker, she grabbed her cell phone and closed the locker door. She headed outside. Once she got there, she set down her bag, and sat on the sweater that was around her waist. Now was the time she observed all the students. See which ones were possible friends, and which ones were possible girlfriends. She smirked to herself. She wondered how many gay people went to this school. Gifteds tended to have more of the unique personalities than others. She got out her laptop and hooked herself up. She went to the school's website. She wanted to refresh her memory of the place. Observing the students, she began to copy some of their appearences.

The girl slowly went to a desk, and brought out some paper and a pencil. She began to write in fancy letters. First an N, then a Y, followed by an S and an A. Nysa. That was her name. She looked at it for a couple seconds then put it down on her bed. She decided to go eat, since she hadn't eaten in a day or two.

Tobias sat down with his food. It was decent today: sloppy Joes and he knew the beef was good.

Nysa entered the cafeteria, and shyly got in line for some food. She went and sat in the corner, nibbling on a sandwich quietly. She thought to herself as she watched the other students eat.

Tobias frowned. Why wasn't she eating? It was excellent: he'd downed his whole meal in about five minutes. He left the room, nudging her on his way out. "It's good, try it." The door swung open, as if on its own, and he was gone.
In his room he finished his homework and began practicing his magnokenesis, sharpening a pencil with his mind. Each time it got sharper and sharper, to where he could almost write with it, and then he got overzealous and messed it up.

Kayin changed his clothes and went back to school's halls. He didn't realize that he had skipped the first day of school. At the back of his mind he knew that he was going to be in a lot of trouble. He smirked innocently, "Oh well." he thought.
The corridor was empty, all except for a few students running out to the campus or to their rooms. In the silence the low rumble of Kayin's stomach seemed to cry out. Kayin hadn't eaten breakfast; his stomach was pestering him. Food. That's what he needed.
Making his way into the cafeteria, he noticed how small the crowd was. "Wow, I know the school's food can be bad. But.." with a small sigh Kayin got in line. The cooks slopped his food on his tray. "Enjoy!" Said one of the cooks. Kayin gave a weak smile. "I will." He went and sat at a small table in the corner to eat his 'meal'.
