Kayin stretched and yawned as he entered the basement. It was completely deserted. "Perfect." He said smiling. Kayin entered the locker room and changed into his black swimsuit. The pool was his sanctuary within the confines of the school. Climbing up onto the high dive he closed his eyes and mentally prepared himself.
With a small run and jump he flipped into the air. The air streamed past his face and greeted him with the cool waters of the pool. Leaving behind small ripples to echo in the pool. He dived to the bottom of the pole and looked to the surface. Finally he was at home.
He kicked off the bottom and rose to the surface. Kayin took a breath of air and pushed his hair from his face. "I'm glad I did this." said Kayin kicking lazily around the pool. Floating on the surface letting his mind drift endlessly.

Aonabe couldnt wait for the school day to be over with. She always hated the first couple of days of school. All the teachers did was go over things from the past year, hand out books, and be boring through the class periods. She continued to sketch in her book.
Aonabe pushed her hair from her face and let out a small sigh. She glanced up at the clock, seeing as they had thirty-minutes left in class, she returned to her sketchbook and stared at her drawing, which was now complete.

Lunch found Tobias playing high post on the roof of the school. There were twelve baskets up there, but the damn seniors had limited them to one of them. As a result, Tobias had spent most of the game trying to figure out how to mess up theirs. He'd finally gotten one of them, though, messing up his jump by playing with the metal in his shoe.
A sloppy bounce pass came to him through the legs of a defender. He grabbed it anyways, and threw his weight into the boy guarding him. The boy fell to the hard concrete, and Tobias made his shot, then helped him up, muttering an apology and smiling.
The guy nodded, stepped out of bounds and passed to the other team's point guard. Tobias made it to the other end of the court and took his position.

Blah, Blah, Blah. That was all that Isabell could remember hearing the rest of the class. She was so happy when the bell rang she literally jumped out of her seat. She wanted to see something first. So she walked over to the girl who had been drawing. "I know it is lunch and you are probably in a hurry but I have to admit curiosity got the best of me.
Mind showing me your drawing? I understand if you would rather me not see it, but I had to ask or rack my brain about it later." She said with a faint sound of slightly nervous laughter. She couldn't help but think she sounded sort of pathetic the way she said it but she did love to see others drawings and art in general.

The granite tip of a wooden shape was held firmly between slender fingers as dark nails moved the tip around swiftly. During the beginning of class, the pale piece of parchment before her was once held blank. Now, it wore a magnificent creature that only she could see within her dreams. Though the teacher had stopped class plenty of times before, telling her to stop doodling and get her head back on straight, she never listened. The teacher never looked beneath the drawing to see notes, she just looked above. Like a book, she judged from its cover and always suspected the worst.
Slowly she put her drawing weapon away, brushing her hands on loosely held ebon cargo jeans. Her lightly colored eyes were staring down as she focused on her art, ignoring the world around her as the last few minutes of class ticked away.
Dark strands of hair fell over her face, as if the veil the creature behind. Slowly however, her hand lifted and delicately pushed the long strands of black behind her ear, causing a slight shimmer of light to hit her dark caramel face.
A loud ringing noise echoed loudly within her head, causing her eyes to finally look up, watching as students hurried out of class to lunch.
"Terrific," she muttered darkly, flicking her hand lightly as she put her stuff up in her bag. Quickly she shot it over her shoulder and allowed her dark form to stalk its way towards the school lunch grounds.
Again she was spotted, though now sitting on a thich boa of a nearby oak. Her dark hair swayed within the breeze, revealing the vibrant streaks of permanent ruby marks that fell down her hair as well.
A sigh pushed forth through her lips as she opened her drawing pad once more, finishing up the finaly details of the sketch earlier. A small black flame ocassionally danced before her, for when she couldn't think of what to draw, she was practicing her magic within the tree. Then, the flame would disappear without a trace and she would once again be seen drawing.
Yes, this was Ae'oko for you. Very timid, but always willing for a friend.

Lia had already been through the lunch line and grabbed a bite to eat, a fish sandwich that nearly dripped tartar sauce, almost masking the taste of the mystery fish.
She scrapped some of the sauce off on a napkin and headed into the basement. She didn't want to go by the classes yet, she wanted to see what they had in the way of gymnasiums. Then she would go up top a climb if she had time.
She passed through an empty gym and finally into the empty girls' lockers. She heard a muffled splash and turned, her eyes narrowed.
She peaked out of a back door and saw the rippling pool. Then she heard Kayin speak but could tell what he said. 'How can anyone abide water?' she thought. She didn't open the door up anymore, as if afraid that the water would come up and reach for her if she did.
((Edit: I thought I hit that key, sorry))

[[Ugh]]
The afternoon classes came, and went. Tobias sat through physical education, computer class, which, retrospectively, was actually kind of fun and English, which was incredibly dull.
After class let out, he headed for the school's one football field to play some, well, soccer or football or rugby or something. Maybe now that school was over, maybe Kayin [[one n, darn it!]] would show up and play with them.

Now as the afterschool bell rang, she found her mind swaying into the work she must do. She decided to head off towards her room when she sparked another interest in drawing once more. So, instead of walking from her silent, empty classroom into the busy halls towards her dorm, she decided to head out into the busy campus where she would sit and observe the other students.
Steps were unheard as her form was barely seen within the shadows of the school, student life buzzing right past her as she clung the drawing pad to her chest, her sidepack lightly hitting her in the legs. So pre-occupied she was with staring down at the ground, she never stopped the realize the loud yell that sounded faint to her.
"WATCH OUT!"
Before she even knew what hit her, a boy came running out of nowhere, soaring through the air to catch a football his friend had thrown. With a light smack, his body crashed into her's, causing a loud snarl to produce from her throat.
"Damn," she hissed, hitting the ground hard as her pad flew out from her hand and landed beside her, while the guy quickly got up.
"Sorry," he said over and over again, quickly lending a slender hand to help pick up her dark form. "I wasn't paying attention till it was too late, hope I didn-," he paused, watching blood slowly drip from a cut she had recieved from the fall on her elbow. His light feature's brightened a bit as he put a hand on her scrape. He watched her eyes narrow in anger, but look away as a blinding light fell from his hand, surrounding the wound and quickly closing it up. "Hope that feel's better," was the last thing she heard from him before he disappeared into the crowd of teens.
Dark tan lids fell heavily over light eyes as to rid of the light she had witnessed. She hated it. As she shook her head slightly, she quickly grabbed her drawing pad and darted out the school as fast as she could.
Dark hair whisped around her lithe form as it propped itself up against the trunk of a tree, resting at its foot. The soft, emerald blades around her fell in pride towards the strong wind that carried itself through the school, while the ray's of late afternoon began to descend over the land.
Students ran through the campus as if no restrictions held them. Music blared in certain areas, while groups converesed to themselves. Others were busy playing sports among friends, and others made challenges to use their powers to see who was better. This was a different world she hardly stepped foot in, and right now she blocked out.
Her hand quickly moved over the new piece of paper that laid in the pad, a sketch forming before her eyes of a new creature that belonged to the sky. As she done so, she would look up every so often to watch the other students, her eyes changing briefly to those of a feline. Once down, they were normal again. This time, when they lifted, they belonged to that of a wolf, which only shifted normal when looking down again.
The wind became stronger and no heed was paid to her, for her mistfortune. Some paper didn't cling to her pad, and when she barely lifted her hand, the pad flew out and landed beside her. With a loud curse, she watched as both her new drawing, and the recent ones of that day flew forth from the pad and scattered themselves among the campus.
Her eyes widened. "Great," she whispered, quickly shoving the pad in her pack so she could stand. "How the hell am I going to get those back?"

Hex stood on the path leading to the school doors, leaning against one of the big oak trees that sheltered it from the public when the bell rang. Her entire body jumped, and she pulled herself up into the heavy branches of the tree, sitting with her feet dangling over the edge, her 4 inch black platforms swaying slightly with her long black cotton skirt. she slid her shoulders out of her backpack and set it against the trunk of the tree, curling her legs under herself and adjusting so she could lean against it after she straightened her shadowy gray tank top. Her strange eyes watched the students pouring out of the school with withdrawn curiosity, and a strange desire to meet them...and see if this place was any different than anywhere she'd been in the past...though she doubted it, and thus stayed where she was, arms wrapping about her waist as her gaze intensified, trying to take in every detail around her.

Tobias ran off the field, cackling wildly, still holding the football. As he ran, several huge boulders were thrown at him. He shielded himself from all of them by forming a protective shell. "Dude, you never said I couldn't use my powers!" "You bastard!" yelled the boy chasing him," Not everyone can move the damn field goal around with their mind." "So you're saying that any fool can move the field goal otherwise?" "I know I can. Right into your skull!" Tobias chuckled some more, slowing to a jog.

Hex let her eyes fall on the boys in the football field, cracking a tiny smirk as one was chased down it. "Maybe they're not so bad..." she found herself mummbling..."No....they're all going to be the same and you know it, don't be so naieve.." she found a cool voice answering in her mind...and simply shook her head, knowing by now that arguing with herself was no good. She then stood up on the branch and sighed, tucking her skirt between her legs after picking up her bag and throwing it over her shoulders. She reached out and patted the tree lightly before letting herself out of the tree with a small jump that looked more like she slipped, though she landed on her feet, knees bending to catch her weight and keep her boots under her. She than began walking into the school, hoping people were too preoccupied to notice her.

Kayin changed his clothes and went out to the campus. He didn't realize that he had skipped the first day of school. At the back of his mind he knew that he was going to be in a lot of trouble. He smirked innocently, "Oh well." he thought.
From where he stood he could see Tobias running toward the goal line. "Time for a little fun." A small grin appeared on his face. With a burst of speed Kayin took off toward the football field. Tobias and him always messed around with each other. It was time for Kayin to get back at him.
Tobias hadn't noticed him running. The perfect chance. Kayin moved into range and shot small streams of ice at Tobias' feet. Freezing them into two ice blocks.

Ae'oko watched as one of her drawings started to drift from the campus ground into the air. "Oh no you don't," she snarled, morphing her body.
A sudden beam of dark light fell upon her form, suddenly engulfing it in what seemed like blame flames. As they swirled and danced in the air, they quickly licked her form alive as the dark creature began to make small moans and growls while her form took shape, allowing dark ears to twitch lightly upon a shadowed skull. Fangs pierced through her lips just lightly while a large plume swayed to and fro behind her. Standing tall upon hind-legs, her ebon pelt swayed with the breeze while her dark nostrils flared. With a sudden dart, they locked upon many pieces of paper.
Falling onto all fours, the wolf-like creature began to spring around the campus, gathering the pieces of paper within her mouth as she leapt into the air and sprinted by students to gather everything.
Shaking out the dark coat the covered her form, she retreated back towards the shade of the tree where her stuff laid, standing upon her hindquarters again as she quietly stuffed her drawings back in her pad while another light surrounded her, regaining human shape.
"One...two...three...." Her silent voiced called, going through each picture of dragons, werewolves, vampires, and demons alike till suddenly she froze. Her favorite dragon picture was missing.
As her light chestnut gaze started to dart around again, she watched as the piece of paper flew through the air and soared towards another being (Hex). It fluttered above the female's head for a moment and then, slowly started to descend downward.
The picture showed only that of a scaley beasts dark face, its broad horns seeming to protrude from the paper while the flames from its nostrils seemed to come alive from its ashen body.
"Hey," Ae'oko exclaimed, running towards Hex while pointing at the piece of floating paper. "Hey, can you get that for me?"
